Speaker 1: George Conway II, ReImagine Collective Counseling LLC George Conway II is an African-American Counselor. He navigates the world of therapy from the lens of an underrepresented group within the system.
Speaker 2: Asa Zuccaro, Latinx Center, Psychology and African-American Studies. Asa Zuccaro is a Latinx man and community advocate. He works with the Latinx population to push for opportunity and representation for the community he serves, including a more equitable approach to mental health services.
Together, the four of us will discuss the importance of mental health representation and services. Through this dialogue, we will dive into the barriers faced by underrepresented groups. Ex: Finding BIPOC therapists, Cultural understanding and treatment, language barriers, and mental health stigmas faced by POC.
